Things to do

Piermont Pier offers beautiful views and excellent springtime fishing. Rental boats, canoes, and kayaks, are available in the immediate area.
Piermont Pier extends one mile across the Hudson River, from Rockland toward Westchester County. You can bike, walk, jog, or drive (with a yearly parking permit) to the end of the pier. Fishing along the pier is popular (check the fishing rule limits) and often very rewarding, especially during the spring run of stripers.

Both of these areas are great for Bird Watching, Fishing, Hiking, Walking, running and best of all the scenic views of the Hudson and the palisades cliffs.

Visit some of our Historic Landmarks like:
The Piermont Railrod Station on Ash Street. This station is a historic trainstation located on Ash Street overlooking the Hudson River. It was built about 1873 by the Northern Railroad company, later acquired by the Erie Railroad. This site is listed on the National Register of Historic places. The station is now owned and operated by the Village of Piermont.
The Piermont drawbridge was built in 1880 by the King Iron Bridge Company. Today the drawbridge is usedas a pedestrian walkway providing a path to the Tallman Mountain State Park. This bridge is the only known hand bridge in Rockland County and maybe even the United States. The bridge just went through a major restoration and was restored to its original state a complete forensic analysis was conducted.
