If you are scheduled for Court on 1/6/21 - or any other time - please do not appear. You will be notified by mail of an appearance date when we can resume.

Please Note: There is a locked drop box on the 2nd Floor outside of the Court Office where payments and other documentation for the court may be left during Village Hall hours.
Court is held on Wednesday Evenings, usually 1st and 3rd weeks. (Days may change due to holidays. Please check with the Court prior to scheduling)

Piermont Justice Court has criminal jurisdiction over misdemeanor offenses (crimes which are punishable by up to one year in jail), Vehicle and Traffic, Village and Local Code Violations, as well as misdemeanor cases defined in other areas of the law. This Court has jurisdiction over felony cases for the purposes of conducting a preliminary hearing, setting bail and arraignments. Click Here

Piermont Justice Court handles all Vehicle and Traffic cases including Driving While Intoxicated offenses and Aggravated Unlicensed Operator as well as Environmental Law violations. Click Here
CIVIL CASES AND SMALL CLAIMS
Civil Jurisdiction involves cases with a monetary limit of $3,000. Small Claims jurisdiction, which is an informal proceeding designed for laymen, involves cases with a monetary limit of $3,000. All cases must be within the boundaries of Piermont. Click Here
LANDLORD / TENANT CASES
Piermont Justice Court handles Landlord / Tenant cases where the Landlord sues to evict a tenant and the monetary jurisdiction is unlimited. The property at issue must be within the Village of Piermont. Click Here
